Green journalist’ award launched
The Wildlife Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has taken an initiative to encourage journalists for enhancing wildlife conservation awareness among masses through their features/articles/writings and reports. In this context, green journalist award has been launched under the project of “Conservation Education and Awareness Campaign in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa” for the year 2015-16.
The features/articles/poems published in Urdu/English newspapers or reports/news flashed from July 2015 to 10th May 2016 will be considered for the competition. Details of the competition are available on www.wildlifeofnwfp.gov.pk. However, a departmental committee will assess the entries and the Ist, 2nd and 3rd position holders will be awarded prizes amounting to Rs 20000, Rs 15000, and Rs 10000, respectively.
