Govt slated for not raising Dr Aafia issue with the US
Karachi: The sister of Dr Aafia Siddiqui, Dr Fauzia Siddiqui has charged that the government never tried to get her sister freed from US detention and the promises made by the rulers were false.
Addressing a press conference at the Karachi Press Club (KPC) under the banner of Shabab-e-Milli on Monday, Dr Fauzia noted that the US special representative Richard Holbrooke had admitted that the Pakistani government did not appeal to the US for release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui.
