Govt’s IT policies to benefit country

SUKKUR: The computer technology has become a necessity of the modern age and played an important role in the development of a country, DCO Sukkur Muhammad Mubeen Khan told a workshop the IT department organized at the IBA Sukkur on Tuesday.

He said the Sindh government was formulating IT programmes and policies, which will, hopefully, create lasting impact on human resource development in Pakistan. He congratulated the IT faculty members for their extra ordinary dedication and efforts and other institutions and organizations participating in the valuable service.

Additional Secretary IT Abdul Fatah Tunio also spoke on the occasion and explained the aims and objects of the workshop. He said the technology was being introduced even at grassroots level, keeping in view the changing scenario of the world. “Only that person would be considered as literate in future who would possess the knowledge of IT,” he maintained.

Later, the DCO distributed certificates among the 150 government employees working in different departments, who successfully completed the IT training imparted to them on the expenses of the IT department of the Sindh government.
