Government ads to be released on merit basis: Chandio
Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh for Information & Archives, Moula Bux Chandio has ordered payment of all outstanding advertisement dues to the newspapers. He made this order during his visit to the office of Director Press and Information Zeenat Jehan here on Monday. He was briefed in detail by Director Information Advertisement Yasmeen Memon regarding Advertisement and Publication Section.
Moula Bux Chandio exhorted that all officers and officials of Information Department should perform their duties honestly. He urged that the rules & regulations should be followed for issuance of advertisements to newspapers. He also said the advertisements would be released on merit basis and for this purpose a transparent mechanism would be established.
“Information Department is playing vital role between masses and the Government of Sindh hence it is necessary that Information Department be facilitated and equipped with modern techniques,” Chandio said adding that all the officers and officials should work with devotion and their problems would be resolved. He said that whenever Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) came into power it always initiated mega projects in Sindh and all over Pakistan which remained salient features of the PPP manifesto. The advisor on information directed the officers to work with devotion. He assured them that their genuine problems would be solved.
