Goethe-Institut film show
The Goethe-Institut, Karachi, in collaboration with Geo Network Television, on Friday arranged screening of short films produced by the TV channel, Aag, before an impressive audience on its premises, which were well received by over 100 youths.
Keen interest of youths in the short movies was evident from the fact that the Goethe’s auditorium was full to capacity. As many as 19 short films were shown with thunderous applause from the audience.
“Mein Ne Quaid Ko Dekha Hai” directed by Qasim and Noman was declared the best short film by the audience. The films touched on social, economic, political and cultural issues in the society.
Director Goethe-Institut Ms Petra said all short films were really “exciting”. She said the Goethe-Instut wanted to encourage young producers/directors and to involve students so that Pakistani film could be selected for presentation at the international forum next year.
