Girl kidnapped, another raped
KHAIRPUR, May 20 2006: A girl was raped and another was kidnapped from district Khairpur in two different incidents during the last 24 hours. In village Maghio near Faiz Gunj, three armed persons Popat, Younis and Saifal Maghio forcibly entered the house of Manthar Maghio on late May 18 (Thursday) night and raped his 17 year —old daughter at gunpoint. The Faiz Gunj police registered the case and conducted raids at different places to nab the culprits.
In another incident, seven armed persons attacked village Gabur Metlo near Ahmedpur late May 18 (Thursday) night and kidnapped an unmarried 19- year —old daughter of Ghulam Sarwar Metlo at gunpoint. Ghulam Sarwar Metlo has lodged an FIR at Ahmedpur Police Station , saying that his daughter had been kidnapped by seven armed persons, including shaman, Abdul Sattar, Sikandar, Nadir , Jalal at took away valuable, including gold, cloths and other ornaments, worth over Rs 100,000. The police have lodged an FIR and are investigating.
