Gilgit police arrest journalists

GILGIT- Police detained two dozen journalists who were holding protest rally against cancellation of declaration of daily ‘K-2’. The journalists who took out rally from Press Club Gilgit, wanted to hold protest in front of Chief Secretary House but police snatched banners and placards from them and stopped them on the way. The journalists were kept in detention at City police station for an hour. Later, a protest meeting of the Press Club and Union of Journalists held to condemn attitude of the administration and demanded of the government to restore declaration of the newspaper.
