Geo TV arranges special programmes on Pakistan Day

RAWALPINDI: Pakistanis across the world celebrate Pakistan Day on March 23 with zeal, fervour and patriotism every year.

Like every year, the Geo Television Network has arranged special programmes for its viewers to double their happiness on Yaum-e-Pakistan (Pakistan Day) that would provide complete entertainment to people.

The Geo TV would telecast special documentary film about Minar-e-Pakistan at 8:00 am on Monday (March 23), which contains detailed information about history of Minar-e-Pakistan, its construction and its other aspects.

“Order out of order” – a comedy programme – would be aired at 12:00 noon, wherein renowned comedian Omar Sharif would enthral the viewers.

A telefilm “Barish Main Dewar” – depicting the problems of young generation – would be aired at 3:05 pm, with cast Amna Shiekh, Mazhar Ali, Nasrullah, Kanwar Nafees, Ali Akbar Kazmi and others. Another programme about history of national anthem – “Shadbad” – having vital information, would be aired at 5:05 pm. “Bachay Mann Kay Sachay” would be telecast at 6:00 pm; PML-N Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif would be guest in this programme.

Miss Education in Pakistan, a documentary film, would be aired at 7:00 pm, while renowned novelist and holder of Sitara-e-Imtiaz Bapsi Sidhwa would be guest at “Geo Hina Kay Saath” programme, who would share her experience and information about her career with host Hina Khwaja Bayat. Geo Insaf would be telecast at 11:00 pm, while special drama Wapsi, written by Anwar Maqsood, would be aired at 1:00 am.

Geo News would also present special reports about various seminars and other programmes being held in connection with Yaum-e-Pakistan. “Jeway Geo Pakistan” would be aired on 10:30 am.

A programme on flag hosting ceremony at Wagha Border would be broadcast at 2:05 pm. A special programme of 50 minutes on Pakistan Day would be televised at 6:05 pm, while the viewers would be able to see “Capital Talk” with host Hamid Mir at 8:05 pm, wherein guests would express their views about Pakistan Day and current situation in Pakistan.

“Aaj Kamran Khan Kay Saath” would be aired at 10:00 pm, while “Geommentary”, consisting of documentary films, would be broadcast at 11:05 pm, which comprises special reports on the life of famous and revolutionary poet Habib Jalib. “Ram Chand Pakistani” film – released under the banner of Geo Films – would be telecast on March 23. The story of Ram Chand Pakistani revolves around a family living along Pak-India border.

Most popular host of Geo TV’s morning show Nadia Khan would reappear on Geo TV on March 23 after a long absence.
