Geo Pehchan Ramazan transmission
KARACHI: The interest of the people continued on the eleventh day running in the “Pehchan Ramazan” programme of the Geo television, the most successful broadcast in the history of television. On the special invitation of the host and internationally acclaimed broadcaster Dr Aamir Liaqat Hussain, the representatives in Pakistan of “Make a Wish,” Mirza Ishtiaq Baig and Mirza Ikhtiar Baig participated in the programme along with children suffering from incurable diseases. The Baig brothers along with their team remain busy round the clock in fulfilling the innocent wishes of these children.
Paying glowing tributes to the services of the two brothers who are trying their best to fulfill the wishes of the ill-fated children, Dr Aamir Liaqat Hussain said they are to be followed by others.
The host mixed up with these children and discussed with them their activities with regards to curricular and extracurricular activities. He distributed amongst them special gifts of different types toys as desired by them. A mobile phone was also gifted to a child as desired by him.
Three girls, Zeenat, Amina and Saira were jubilant to see Dr Amir and termed it as a milestone in their life. Sana and Nida, two girls who were offered to perform Umra along with their parents last year by Dr Aamir also participated in the programme. Sana also recited a naat.
Dr Aamir announced to send a child Anzala for Umra on his behalf. He said how to thank the Almighty Allah is shown to us by the children who are suffering from different fatal diseases but even then their hearts are filled up with lot of thanks for the God Almighty. Under the banner of “Rahe Neki” the process of helping the deserving continued during the programme. The process of helping the deserving by philanthropists from home and abroad also continued.
In this connection rupees two hundred thousand was given by a person named Mohammad Nasim for the treatment of a girl who is a case of 45% burn. Dr Aamir announced to bear all expenses about the marriage of daughter of Shehnaz Bibi that include jahez, shadi hall expenses including meal. He also cleared all dues of rent of her house. During the programme donations worth rupees hundreds of thousands were announced by viewers from home and abroad including from France, Norway, USA and other countries. Hundreds of people have benefited from the distribution of ration and cash help on behalf of Mahmooda Sultana Foundation.
