Future of IT in Pakistan is bright: SALU VC
KHAIRPUR, May 28 2006: Vice-Chancellor of Shah Abdul Lateef University (SALU) Khairpur, Dr. Abdul Raheem Malik has said that future of Information Technology (IT) and Telecommunication in the country is bright.
Speaking at the Regional Conference on Information and Telecommunication Technplogy here on Saturday (May 27) , the VC pointed out that this sector is currently experiencing a boom. The one-day conference was held under the aegis of Department of IT and Business Administration of the University. VC Dr. Malik said “We are confident that the future of IT and Telecommunication in Pakistan is bright”, he observed and stressed upon the youngsters to take up this profession.
He informed the participants of the conference who included IT professionals, experts, chief executives of various firms, facÂulty and students of the University that Pakistan was going for e-goverence in a big way. “We are looking for paperÂless goverence,” he said. The VC said this was an ara of progress and the country would soon be known as a proÂgressive, modern and most dynamic state.
