Four sisters killed over Karo-Kari

SUKKUR: Four sisters were gunned down and a man was injured by arms persons over Karo-Kari dispute in the village of Abdoo in the precincts of Chak police station, district Shikarpur. A group of armed persons barged into the house of Muhammad Ayub Mahar in the village Abdoo and opened indiscriminate fire, killing four women on the spot, and injuring Manthar Mahar.The assailants fled unchallenged.The dead included four real sistes Naseem, Shahzadi, Nasiba and Safia. Muhammad Ayub Mahar told newsmen that his son Bashir Ahmed along with his accomplices killed his wife Safia and her three sisters over an old Karo-Kari dispute. No case was registered till the filing of this report.In another incident, two persons were killed in an armed clash between Marfani and Brohi tribesmen in the village Meero Khan, in Garhi Yasin police station jurisdiction, district Shikarpur.
