Four journalists injured in a blast

Four journalists were among the nine people injured on February 12, when a bomb attached to a bicycle went off outside the election offices of a former provincial minister and an independent candidate in the town of Khuzdar in Pakistan’s southern Balochistan province.

The journalists who were in the election office at the time of the blast, received shrapnel wounds and had to be hospitalized.

Mohammad Ayub Baloch, correspondent daily “Jang” and “Geo TV” was seriously injured with shrapnel wounds on head and abdomen. Abdul Latif Mengal, correspondent daily “Tawar” received sixteen stitches on the forehead. Munir Noor correspondent of Dhoom TV received injuries on stomach and Munir Shakir of Daily “Asap” and “Roshni TV” was injured on the leg.
