Four books penned by PFUJ leader launched

Noted journalist, leader of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) and writer, Ahfazur Rehman was paid glowing tributes on the occasion of the launch four of his books at the Arts Council on Friday.

Speakers who appreciated Rehman for his inspiring thoughts presented in his four books; observing that his work was highly revealing; especially his poetic and prose accounts of resistance to the imperialist forces and exploitation of down-trodden classes.

Prominent writer and columnist, Jamiluddin Aali, observed that Ahfaz was amongst the writers who not only gave beautiful style of expressing his feelings in poetry and prose, but stimulated readers and writers to follow the values emerging from his writings.

Honorary Secretary of the Arts Council, Muhammad Ahmed Shah and other speakers including Dr Muhammad Ali Siddiqui (Ariel), Professor Sehar Ansari, Zahida Hina, Dr Jaffer Ahmed and Hasan Zaheer while throwing light on the books said that his four books, “Nai Alif Laila,” “Jang Jaari Rahay Gee,” “Tarikh-e-Cheen,” and “Chou-en-lai – Aapbeeti” had their separate taste and subjects, but his characteristic style could be perceived in all four works of his.

Ahfaz-ur Rehman thanked the speakers and presented his couplets and the audience applauded him for his diction and presentation.
