Foreign journalists visit LoC
ISLAMABAD- A 27-member team of foreign journalists comprising print and electronic media from the United States, Denmark, Britain, France, Japan, Italy, Egypt, China, Turkey and Abu Dhabi visited the Line of Control at Chakothi sector in Azad Kashmir.
The visiting journalists were briefed on the current tense situation on the LoC and the historical background of the Kashmir problem. They were also apprised about the ceasefire violations by the Indian occupied forces.
The sector commander answered different questions made by the visiting journalists while updating their knowledge on the issue.
Later, the media also visited a refugee camp established in Muzaffarabad.
The visiting journalists had free talk with the refugee, who explained that due to Indian Army’s brutalities they were forced to quit Indian held Kashmir, to seek refugee in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
It is worth mentioning here that more than 200 foreign journalists representing renowned foreign print and electronic media have visited the LoC in the last couple of weeks.
