SIALKOT, July 13 2006: Five men, who were found guilty of gang rape, were convicted by the court, were hanged to death in Sialkot District Jail early on July 12 morning. Deputy Superintendent of the jail Abd-ur-Razaaq Niazi said it was for the first time in the Sialkot Jail that five persons were executed on one day. The convicts were Mushtaq Pappo, Shahzad Maseeh, Muhammad Yusuf, Abdul Jabbar and Iftikhar Ahmad, all residents of Daska. Talking to the news reporters the deputy superintendent jail said that three out of the five convicts, Abdul Jabbar, Mushtaq and Yusuf, were married. He informed that the bodies were later over to their relatives.
