Film show for LPC held

The Lahore Press Club organised a show of film Welcome for its members and their families in Metropole Cinema on Abbot Road on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Pakistan Film Producers Association (PFPA) former chairman Mian Amjad Farzand Ali said that Pakistan’s cinema industry was crumbling after the collapse of country’s film industry. He said this situation forced the cinemas to import quality Bollywood movies. He appreciated the role of media in saving cinema industry in the country. PFPA Vice-Chairman Jamshed Zafar said that an international film fair would soon be organised in Pakistan to support country’s film and cinema industries. The distributors of the film, Khaliq Chaudhry, Ch Ijaz Kamran, Sheikh Muhammad Aziz, Pervaiz Kaleem, Chaudhry Zulfiqar Ali Mana, Metropole Cinema owner Sheikh Akhtar Ali, Cinena Management Association Chairman Qaiser Sanaullah Khan and a large number of journalists and their families viewed the show. Later, shields were distributed among the LPC members and distributors of Welcome.
