Female journalist commits suicide in Lahore
LAHORE: A 20-year-old girl committed suicide by jumping from the fifth floor of a local hostel in the Islampura area on Wednesday. The deceased, Seemab, who hailed from Narang Mandi, had been serving in a local newspaper as a lady reporter for the last three years. She was mentally disturbed as she was not given her salary for the last four months.
She requested her boss some time back to pay her salaries but he paid no heed to her request. On the day of the incident, Seemab again requested her boss for her due salaries but he did not accommodate her, upon which, she got dejected and jumped from the fifth floor of a private hostel, resulting in her instant death. Police have shifted the body to morgue.
