Father-in-law of Peshawar Press Club president shot dead
PESHAWAR: Moazzam Ahmed Khan, Father-in-Law of Nasir Hussain, President Peshawar Press Club, was shot dead by unknown assailants during captivity on Wednesday.
The family sources said Moazzam Ahmed Khan was kidnapped by the abductors on third day of Eid ul Azha from his residence in Rampura Gate in interior city.The kidnappers were demanding rupees five million for the release of the abductee and were in constant contact with family members.
The captors after failing to achieve the ransom money killed Moazam Ahmed Khan and threw his dead body. His funeral prayer was held at 10:00pm near Milaad Chowk Rampura Gate inside city Wednesday night.The journalists have condemned the killing of Moazzam Ahmed Khan and expressed profound grief and sorrow over the tragic incident with the family members.
