Entries open for 20th APNS journalist awards
Karachi: The All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) has announced the categories for the 20th APNS Journalist Awards, and urged the reporters, photographers and cartoonists of the member publications to submit their entries for the awards soon.
Secretary General of the APNS, Sarmad Ali, said on Friday that editors, chief executives of the member publications could also send the entries on behalf of journalists working for their organizations. Ali said that only the works that published during January 01, 2009 to December 31, 2010, should be sent.
Following are the categories.
In reporting three awards would be given that include Best Investigative Report, Best Business Report, Best Report on Environmental Conservation. Three awards will be given to columnists. One column will be chosen from English language dailies, one from Urdu language dailies and one from regional language dailies. Three feature stories will be awarded – one each from English, Urdu and regional language publications. One cartoon will be chose in the best cartoon category, and one photographer will be awarded.
