Electronic Crimes Ord tabled in Senate
ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Minister for Law Syed Afzal Haider on Monday laid Prevention of Electronic Crimes Ordinance, 2007 (Ordinance No. LXXXII of 2007) before the Senate.
Leader of house Senator Wasim Sajjad on behalf of ministers for finance, revenue, economic affairs and statistics laid the first quarterly report for the year 2007-08 of Central Board of Directors of State Bank of Pakistan on “The State of Pakistan’s Economy” under Section 9A (f) of the State Bank of Pakistan Act, 1956.
Opposition leader in the house Senator Raza Rabbani said that the Senate had become an “ordinance factory”. He said the opposition had moved two ordinances — PEMRA Ordinance and Press and Publication Ordinance, which had so far not be discussed in the house. He requested that these two ordinances be discussed in the next session.
