Edhi demands immediate restoration of Geo Super, Aag
KARACHI: Leading social worker Dr Abdul Sattar Edhi, while issuing a general licence to the lone sports channel of the country, Geo Super and youth channel, Aag, has demanded that the government restore these channels immediately.
While signing the document of general licence for these television channels in his office, Edhi told The News that the ban was not only against the laws of the country but also infringed upon the basic rights of the people. He said such tactics earned a bad name for the country. Edhi told those at the helm of affairs that the country faced a plethora of problems and such tactics should not be resorted to because they earned a bad name for the countray at the global level.
