Ecp sends necessary info to voters at cell phones through sms
ISLAMABAD: Pursuant to the directives of the Supreme Court regarding issuing of “Purchies” to voters or any other mode providing voting information necessary for casting vote, the Election Commission of Pakistan with the assistance of National Detabase and Registration Authority (Nadra), has pushed to 138,000 voters of the NA-151 Multan-IV information about name of voters, Block Codes, polling stations’ names and numbers, Serial Numbers (Silsila Numbers) at their cell/mobile numbers through SMS to facilitate the voters at their doorsteps for casting their vote in an easy manner.
In addition to the above, the Election Commission has already established 40 camps throughout the constituency, where the requisite information would be provided to all the voters and has also sent “Purchies” to all the voters of NA-151 Multan-IV through postal services.
Therefore, for unobstructed and fair conduct of bye-election, all the voters of NA-151 Multan-IV are informed and urged to note the received message so that they may be able to cast their vote in a smooth and easy manner.
