Dr AQ Khan participates in Shehr-e-Ramazan
KARACHI: Renowned scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan on Tuesday participated in Shehr-e-Ramazan, live special transmission of Pehcha-e-Ramazan of Geo TV that is continuing for 25th consecutive day.
Dr Abdul Qadeer was the distinguished guest among the guests who participated in Shehr-e-Ramazan hosted by world-renowned broadcaster Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain. The host and the audience welcomed Dr Abdul Qadeer enthusiastically when he arrived in Shehr-e-Ramazan. The security was tightened on this occasion and his presence touched the height of popularity of the Shehr-e-Ramazan.
While talking to Dr Aamir Liaquat, Dr Qadeer Khan, who made Pakistan invincible through nuclear power, said enthusiasm and devotion to serve the religion and nation which he saw here did not see any where before it. He, while appreciating the religious and social services of Dr Aamir Liaquat, said he was so much pleased to meet a thinker and young scholar that he could not describe in words.
Dr Khan paid rich tributes to the services and said: “Dr Aamir will continue his services for promotion of religion and progress of Pakistan in future”.The builder of the nation, while delineating treachery of some rulers, said he was put in solitary imprisonment on the pressure of foreign forces and he was not allowed to meet his family. He said his contacts with the world were totally cut off, but his contact remained with Allah and His Prophet (SAW) and he felt great comfort with the recitation of Holy Quran. Dr Abdul Qadeer also gave references of Quranic verses and historical traditions during his discussion with the host. The audience listened to his discussion with great interest and eulogised his points. He answered the questions of the audience with great patience.
Dr Abdul Qadeer said he saw the bright future of Pakistan. He said the nation was imbued with patriotism and emotion of serving the humanity. He said: “If competent leadership takes place, our country can be accounted among the developed countries of the world”. He said he had no lust for power however he was ready to play role for the services of the nation.
Dr Abdul Qadeer also revealed that some elements did not want to see Pakistan to become nuclear power, however, he did not care about them and continued his work and it result came out in shape of nuclear explosion.
While departing from the Shehr-e-Ramazan he thanked Dr Aamir Liaquat and members of Geo Network and said that he did not stay anywhere for 45 minutes but he remained present in Shehr-e-Ramazan for five hours which is a conspicuous success of the special transmission of Shehr-e-Ramazan.
Dr Abdul Qadeer said he participated in the Shehr-e-Ramazan by giving up all his engagements on the invitation of Dr Aamir Liaquat.Dr Aamir declared Dr Qadeer as his ideal and said that those nations who do not realise the value of their well-wishers have to face humiliation. He paid rich tributes to the great services of Dr Qadeer Khan for the nation.
