District Journalists protest against police
KANDIARO, Sindh, 14: Local journalists held a protest demonstration here on Tuesday against local police for not arresting accused involved in looting a reporter Mohammad Hussain Abbasi from village Saeedo Baagh.
The protesters, led by Ayaz Abbasi, marched through various roads of the city and chanted slogans against the police.
Speaking on the occasion, the protest leaders said that six accused were roaming freely and hurling threats to the journalist to withdraw the case against them.
They said that main accused Ghuaus Bux and his brother Abdul Rahim, arrested by police earlier, were now n released on intervention of a landlord.
The journalists demanded of higher authorities to take action against local police besides ordering action against the accused.
