Pakistan Broadcasting Association (PBA) Chairman Mir Ibrahim appeared before a two-member bench of Justice Jawwad S Khawaja and Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh.

During May last year, Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage had constituted a committee with a mandate to remove ambiguities in code of conduct for media and devise an effective implementation mechanism with a revised composition of complaint commission. The bench was apprised that the committee has chalked out a code of conduct and its meeting has been convened on June 4 in the Prime Minister’s secretariat for deliberations over the matter. The Pemra counsel told the bench that all the data pertaining to current owners/directors of the media houses and detail of employees, titles to whom the licenses were transfers would be uploaded on the Authority website in a week. Later, the bench adjourned the hearing of case till June 16.
