Demo against Wali’s killing
LAHORE: A PROTEST demonstration was held by Mohib-e-Watan Welfare Society of Pakistan in front of the Lahore Press Club to condemn the killing of a devout journalist Wali Khan Babar Shaheed and against the rising social injustice and inflation.
The protesters were holding placards inscribed with slogans condemning all acts of violence against media and media personnel. They chanted slogans against the policies of the government and demanded that all increases in the prices of commodities and fares be retracted. The protest was led by Mohib-e-Watan Welfare Society of Pakistan Chairman Jaffer Hussain Shah, President Umar Butt and General Secretary Mohammad Ahmed Tahir.
