Decision on interim relief for newsmen on 14th

QUETTA- The final decision on interim relief for the newspapers employees will be made at the next meeting of the Board to be held in Peshawar from November 13 to 14. This was decided by the Chairman, 7th Wage Board, Justice Raja Afrasiab Khan, at the end at the two-day meeting which ended on Tuesday.

Responding to the repeated demands and marathon arguments by the employees representatives for an early announcement of the interim relief for the newspaper industry workers, Justice Raja Afrasiab Khan assured that final decision about the interim relief will be at the fourth meeting of the Board to be held at Peshawar from November 13 to 14.

Referring to the reports about various concessions, demanded by the newspaper-owners for the newspaper industry, the employees representatives said that the government should give concessions to the newspaper industry, subject to the condition that they (the employer, representatives) will attend the meetings of the Board and accept all its decisions.
