Couple seek protection
HYDERABAD: A newly-wed couple, belonging to Mirpurkhas, held a demonstration on Friday outside the press club demanding protection from the bride’s family.
Furqan Khan, 30, along with his wife, Afshan Khan, 20, told newsmen that they married on their will on August 28 in Nawabshah. They said Afshan’s family has lodged a fake kidnapping case against Furqan and his family members.
They added that her family is also threatening the couple with dire consequences if Furqan does not abandon Afshan.
