Council of Pakistan Newspapers Editors condoles Pearl’s death
LAHORE- The President of the Council of Pakistan Newspapers Editors (CPNE), Mujib-ur-Rahman Shami, has expressed his profound grief over the tragic death of Daniel Pearl, a journalist of American newspaper Wall Street Journal.
In a statement issued here on Friday, he condemned the murder of the foreign journalist and termed it as an open act of terrorism.
He offered his heartfelt condolences to the family members of the deceased journalist.
He also said that those who have killed Pearl “are not sincere to the country or Islam” and are playing in the hand of the enemies.
