Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors condoles deaths of MA Majeed and Jamshed Kharal
KARACHI: The President and Secretary General of Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) Jamil Ather Qazi and Aamer Mahmood respectively have expressed their deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise of MA Majeed, veteran journalist and former Editor (Editorial Page) of Daily Dawn.
In a condolence message issued here today they said that journalism profession in Pakistan has deprived of with a very experienced and professional journalist. While expressing their condolence with grieved family CPNE leaders also pray to God to keep the soul of MA Majeed in eternal peace.
CPNE has also expressed their deep sorrow and grief over the murder of Jamshed Kharl veteran journalist and former resident Editor of Daily Tijrat, Quetta. CPNE leaders have condemned this incident and demanded with the government to order inquiry into this matter and to arrest the culprits without further delay.
Jamshed Kharl was murdered with two other persons on Thursday, when some unknown armed persons attacked on a bus in “Mach”(Balochistan), which was going to Punjab from Quetta.
