‘CONNECT 2011’ event set to blaze IT industry

KARACHI: After the success of fifth consecutive exhibitions, sixth Information & Communications Technology Exhibition and Conference – (CONNECT 2011) is all set to blaze the IT industry. The exhibition will display state of the art technologies and innovative ideas & solutions from 3-5 May 2011 at Karachi Expo Centre.

CONNECT 2011 will feature IT professionals from more than 100 companies representing China, UAE, Hong Kong, UK, USA, India, Romania & Pakistan, exploring the diversified opportunities in the regional ICT sector. Moreover, around 8,000 trade visitors are expected to visit the exhibition. Another major highlight of the event is an exclusive ‘Knowledge Village’ pavilion from the leading Engineering universities of Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Gujarat, and Quetta.

Extensive support has been rendered to CONNECT 2011 by Federal Ministry of Information Technology (IT & Telecom division, Government of Pakistan), Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA), Higher Education Commission (HEC), Board of Investment (BOI), Engineering Development Board (EDB), Pakistan ICT Consortium, Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers & Taiwan Electrical & Electronic Manufacturers Association. PSEB is also organising a pavilion of leading software houses, which can be witnessed at the three-day exhibition.

In concurrence with the exhibition, CONNECT will once again carry forward the legacy of being the leading platform integrating eminent speakers in the exclusive IT & telecom sessions. The forum sessions are aimed towards bringing the latest trends and technology into the limelight, while showing the diversity of ICT industry. The exhibition has received an overwhelming response from the decision-makers of the industry. CONNECT 2011 will provide the participants with a business-to-business platform that offers networking opportunities to the local & regional corporate community.
