Condolence reference for journalist
Karachi: The governing body of the Karachi Press Club (KPC) held a condolence meeting in memoriam of the late journalist and former president of KPC Najeeb Ahmed.
Journalists, human rights activists, political leaders and labour leaders spoke on the role played by the late Ahmed, who, according to them, served the cause of journalism very nobly and earned a place for himself as an investigative reporter.
The said that the late journalist also left no stone unturned to take care of the journalist community.
The speakers said that the late Ahmed was a true humanist who always assisted needy persons who faced social and economic woes and this fact distinguished him from others.
Adviser to Sindh chief minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader, Waqar Mehdi, KPC President Imtiaz Khan Faran, KPC Secretary General AH Khanzada and others paid homage to the late Ahmed.
