CM sanctions 125m more for journalists’ housing scheme
LAHORE, September 26 2005: Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi sanctioned an additional Rs 125 million for development work on the Lahore Press Club Journalist Housing Scheme and directed the Lahore Development Authority to complete the work in 6 months.
He was presiding over the second meeting of the housing scheme. The chief minister ordered Javed Sayed, a senior member of the board of revenue, to transfer the land to the Punjab Journalist Housing Foundation and issue a notification. He said that the government would not tolerate any negligence that causes delay. Punjab Chief Secretary Kamran Rasool, Secretary Finance Saman Sadiq, Secretary Information Tamur Azmat Osman, President Lahore Press Club Arshad Ansari and District Coordination Officer Captain (Retd) Khalid Sultan attended the meeting.
