City continues to suffer from muggy weather

LAHORE: Like other parts of the province, the City remained in the grip of muggy weather on Sunday, causing the Lahorites to sweat profusely until noon. Abundance of sunshine and lack of winds caused considerable increase in the daytime temperature with high humidity making the weather oppressive. Cloudiness and continuously blowing winds reduced the intensity of sultry weather in the afternoon, providing much needed respite to the Lahorites.

On Tuesday, the maximum and minimum temperature in the City was recorded at 36 and 26 degree Celsius, respectively. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded 64 per cent.

According to the experts, a seasonal low lies over Balochistan and adjoining areas. The local meteorological department has forecast mainly hot and dry weather for most parts of the country including the City during the next couple of days. However, isolated rain / thundershower is likely in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
