Cameraman’s relatives plead for help
THATTA: Relatives of Niaz Ahmed Gabol, a cameraman affiliated with a Sindhi TV channel who is now-a-days confined to bed at the neuro-surgery ward of Civil Hospital Karachi, have appealed to philanthropists and media organisations to help in his proper treatment.
Niaz Gabol’s mother Bachai and wife Aziza told journalists that a road accident on National Highway near here on December 22, 2009, left the cameraman paralysed from the waist down.
They said that Niaz, 27, was the only bread earner of his family, including his ailing mother, and the family was starving since his hospitalisation.
His brother Faizoo Gabol, now attending him at the hospital, said that he regularly underwent physiotherapy but his condition was showing no improvement. With every passing day, he was also losing eyesight, Faizoo said.
