Call to use social media with absolute responsibility
KARACHI: Administrator Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Muhammad Hussain Syed has said that education and training play an important role in human capabilities that could further be enhanced if government provides its employees necessary training in this regard.
He said this while addressing the one-day training workshop in Qasr-e-Naz held on awareness of social media and communication resources under City Institute of Image Management. Speaking as a chief guest, he said that the awareness of social communication in routine life was an important need of today’s era. “Internet, cable network and social web sites have brought about revolution and whole world including our society is changing rapidly due to awareness of social communication.
He said the use of social media should be used with complete responsibility and careful behaviour. Administrator said that social media had emerged as an important and effective source of opinions expression and feelings whose importance was being felt in every segment of life, however the positive and constructive use of the technology could resolve various problems. The departments associated with social services can serve citizens in a better way. He urged KMC officers to be familiar with modern technologies so that they could improve performance of their departments.
