LANDIKOTAL: The security forces foiled a terrorism bid and defused a time-bomb planted close to the press club building in Landikotal Bazaar on Tuesday, tribal sources said.

After getting information about the explosive device, the bomb disposal unit of the Frontier Corps rushed to the site and defused the time-device before it could go off, the sources said. The Torkham-Landikotal Highway was closed to traffic for an hour during the process to defuse the device. Press Club members asked the political administration to provide security to the journalists.
