Bomb hoax causes scare at newspaper off ices
KARACHI- A hoax call at the office of an English daily scared the staff of the newspaper. The, entire premises was got evacuated at 3.30 in the afternoon. Bomb Disposal Squad made a thorough search of the building but could not find any bomb.
The Commissioner Karachi Shafiqur Rehman Paracha on receiving the information has ordered for tightening the security of all the newspapers offices in the city, The police patrol has been extended and mobile pick up have been stationed outside the offices of the city leading newspapers.
The hoax bomb call at the newspaper came two days after a bomb blast at the premises of Nawa-i-Waqt and The Nation which claimed three lives and injured another three. On Tuesday, another Urdu daily also received a bomb threat call.
