Body set up for defense of press freedom
Karachi,Oct 16:The president of the council of Pakistan Editors, Mir Shakil-Ur-Rehman,has announced the establishment of the Editors Journalists an Human Rights Activist Liasion Committee for the the freedom of the press, says après release.
The objective of the committee is o maintain CPNE,s effective liaison with people and organizations engaged in the struggle for the rights of journalist, civil society and human rights.Kazi Asad Abid,editor of Ibrat,has been appointed convener of the committee and Waqar Yousaf Azeemi,edtior of Roohani Digest, alternative deputy convener.
