Ban on jehadi magazines

LAHORE- The Interior Ministry has directed all the four provincial Home Secretaries to ban the publication of magazines being issued by the religious and Jehadi organisations under Section 11-B of Prevention of Terrorism Act.

The Interior Ministry has also directed the Home Secretaries to seal the offices of these magazines, freeze their assets and confiscate their literature, paper and other material.

The magazines being closed on the directive of the Interior Ministry include biweekly Jaish-e-Mohammad and Binaat-e-Ayesha of the banned religious organisation Jaish-i-Mohammad, weekly Zarb-e-Moman, monthly Al Dawah, monthly Al Badar, biweekly Jehad-i-Kashmir, Shuhda-i-Kashmir, monthly Al Khalid, monthly Al Irshad, monthly Voice of Islam, weekly Jehad Times, monthly Shahadat, monthly Shuhda-i-Mujahid, monthly Al Masood, monthly Mahaz-i-Kashmir, weekly Asia, monthly Baidar, monthly Kashmir Action, monthly Jamiat-ul-Jehad and weekly Dawat.

Likewise, all the magazines reserved for the coverage of the Kashmir issue only are also being closed down.
