Attack on newsman flayed
SIALKOT – A meeting of Sialkot-based journalists was, held in Sialkot on August 11 to condemn the murder attempt on a local journalist, Habib-ur-Rehman Sheikh.
Saleem Ahmed Awan Sheikh, S. M. Shahid, Irfan Latif Mir, Tariq Anjum Chaudhry, Chaudhry Abdul Qayyum, Khawar Mughal, Javaid Gul, Mian Naeem Iqbal, Rana Yayha, Sheikh Jamil Ahmed, Dr. Arshad Ihsan Elahi, Abdul Majeed Shahzad and others participated in the meeting.
They condemned the attack on journalist by a clerk and said that Sheikh Habib unveiled the corruption of the clerk of the Education department, Muhammad Boota, in his local newspaper on which he tortured and seriously injured him at his office and stole his mobile phone and necessary documents.
