Attack on journalist: PPP submits resolution in NA
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) on Saturday submitted a resolution in the National Assembly Secretariat regarding a terrorist attack on TV anchor Raza Rumi. Shazia Mari, Dr Nafisa Shah, Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Imran Laghari and Dr Azra Fzal submitted the resolution.
According to the resolution, “this House vociferously condemns the terrorist attack on senior Pakistani journalist Raza Rumi that took the precious life of his driver Mustafa and left his guard severely injured; expresses solidarity with the media community and demands that the Government immediately provide security to those journalists who put their lives in danger while reporting the truth and speaking against the acts of terrorism, extremism and sectarianism which are threat to our freedom as well as Pakistan’s peace, progress and prosperity.”
