Business Recorder LogoPresident All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), General Pervez Musharaf (Retd) has condemned the attack on Recorder House (which houses the offices of Aaj TV and daily Business Recorder) terming it an attempt on independence of media of the country.

In a statement, he said the role of Business Recorder group has remained very much professional as it always worked hard for the development of country and nation by painting the real picture of society. Former Chief Minister Sindh and PML-N leader Liaqat Jatoi also condemned the attack on Recorder House.

He said the government has failed to protect journalists and media offices in the country. Former Chief Minister Sindh and PML-L leader Arbab Ghulam Rahim termed the attack an attempt on the whole press and media of the country. Secretary General PML-Q Sindh Haleem Adil Shaikh also condemned the attack, saying that he would talk to Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah for quick action against the culprits involved in the incident. Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi chief Mohammad Hussein Mehnati strongly condemned the attack on Recorder House and termed it a failure of government and LEAs.
