Arrested Journalist Engaged to Malign Pakistan Image
ISLAMABAD: Minister for information and Broadcasting, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said on Monday that the two arrested French journalist was involved in damaging Pakistan image internationally.
In an interview with Voice of America (VoA), he said Pakistan role against terrorism has been appreciated by the international community.
The Minister said that by staging such a fake drama, some elements are trying to damage Pakistan’s image.
He said the two journalists had hired people to act as Taliban in the fake film recovered from them.
He said those violating the law of the land and working to malign Pakistan’s image will be dealt with an iron hand. Replying to the question he said, a lobby in western media is trying to damage the image of Pakistan internationally.
