APNS announces schedule for Eid holidays

KARACHI: All Pakistan Newspaper Society (APNS) Secretary General Sarmad Ali has announced that all the APNS member publications will not be published for two days on account of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In a statement issued here on Monday, the APNS secretary general said that all the morning newspapers would not be brought out on September 1 and 2 falling on Thursday and Friday while the eveningers would not be published on August 31 (Wednesday) and September 1 (Thursday) in case Shawal moon is sighted on Tuesday, August 30, however they can publish their newspapers on September 2 (Friday).

Giving further details, he said provided the moon is not sighted on Tuesday then all the morning newspapers would not be available in market on September 2 and 3 falling on Friday and Saturday while the eveningers would not be published on September 1 (Thursday) and September 2 (Friday). He added that eveningers may be brought out on September 3 (Saturday).
