Another rain spells likely from Wednesday

ISLAMABAD: Weak monsoon currents are penetrating in the north-eastern parts of the country and lower Sindh, which will cause another rain spell of monsoon season in upper parts of the country from Wednesday.

According to a statement of the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Monday, the rain spell will not be intense and may prevail for two or three days.Hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of Punjab during the next 24 hours with chances of rain/thunder shower at isolated places of Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala divisions during evening or night.

According to the Synoptic Situation, seasonal low lies over north-west Balochistan and adjoining areas with its trough extending towards south-east. Hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the next 24 hours; however, rain/thunder shower may occur at few places of Hazara division.
