Amir Liaquat’s return to Geo widely welcomed

KARACHI: Welcoming the return of internationally reputed broadcaster and vice president of Geo Network Amir Liaquat Hussain, the scholars of different schools of thought termed it a good decision of the management of Jang and Geo.

Praying for success of Amir Liaquat Hussain, administrator of Darul Aloom Mufti Taqi Muhammad Rafi Usmani hoped that he would play his role in spreading the message of Allah and the Prophet (SAW). He said that in the past Amir Liaquat Hussain did not produce anything in writing and that shortage, it is hoped, would now be overcomed.

Mufti Munibur Rehman, Caretaker of Tanzeemul Madaris Ahl-e-Sunnat Pakistan, said that the rejoining of Geo Network by Amir Liaquat Hussain would augur well for the channel and prayed that Allah might enable him to work for the religion with honour and dignity.

Secretary General Wafaqul Madaris Al-Arabia Pakistan Qari Muhammad Hanif Jalandhri said that now the relations between Geo and the religious scholars would see a new boost and there would be good programmes on national and religious topics.

Deputy Secretary General of Majlis-e-Wahadatul Muslameen Allama Amin Shaheedi said that Amir Liaquat Hussain was the most popular anchorperson and his struggle for bringing sectarian harmony was a glorious history. Leader of Swade Azam Ahle-Sunnat Haqiqi Allama Dr Kokab Norani Okarwi said Dr Amir’s truthfulness and boldness was matchless and the whole nation prayed for him.

Hafiz Ibtsam Elahi Zaheer, leader of Jamiat Ahle-Hadith Pakistan said that Amir Liaquat Hussain played an important role in spreading the message of Islam and they all were satisfied with his return to the Geo.

Administrator of Jamia Banuria Al-Almia said that the popularity of Aalim Online had gone with the departure of Amir Liaquat Hussain and it was good that he had rejoined the Geo.

After two years, Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain will appear on the screen of Geo TV on Monday (July 9). He will present his programme, ‘Main Wapis Kiun Aya’ in which the viewers would know what they want. The programme will go on air at 19:00pm and will be presented on Geo, Geo News and Aag TV.
