Altaf phones Hamid Mir
LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain telephoned noted journalist and TV anchor Hamid Mir and expressed his concern over the threats being hurled at him.
The MQM chief said that it was possible to disagree with the views and opinions of an individual but threatening someone based on difference of opinion was unacceptable. He termed the threats contrary to the freedom of expression and strongly condemned them.
He expressed solidarity with Mir and sympathised with him.The noted journalist thanked Altaf for showing his concern.
