Altaf Gohar laid to rest in lslamabad
ISLAMABAD- President Rafiq Tarar and a cross-section of the people attended “Narnaz-i-Janza” of eminent intellectual Altaf Gohar who expired here on Tuesday last. He was laid to rest at the Islamabad graveyard.
Those who attended the “Namaz-e-Janza” which held at the lawn of his residence included federal ministers Usman Aminuddin and Abbas Sarfaraz Khan, Information Secretary. Anwar Mahmood. Political leaders, Hamyun Akhtar, Wasim Sajjad, Sartaj Aziz, Ch. Shujaat Hussain, Raja Zafarul Haq, Ejazul Haq, Ch. Pervez Elahi, Imran Khan, Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi, and Syed Iftikhar Gilani.
Those who also attended the “Namaz-e-Janza” were members of media community, Radio Director General Saleem Gul Sheikh, Mir Shakilur Rehman, Mujeebur Rehman Shami, Arif Nizami, Zia Shahid, Mustafa Sadiq and Irshad Haqani besides high officials.
