Allow journalists to visit operation areas: JI

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Munawar Hassan has asked the government on Tuesday to allow journalists to visit the operation-hit areas so that they are able to inform the masses about the ground realities.

Speaking to party officials at the JI Karachi office, Hassan claimed that the masses do not trust the news issued by the ISPR and blamed India and the United States of America for destabilising activities in Pakistan. He said that the US administration is the root cause of all the problems and difficulties being faced by Pakistan. He added that India played an active role against Pakistan but the rulers do not name India in a bid to please the US.

“People who have a religious mindset and are thinking about the situation should be mobilised to establish unity and save this country from the dirty tactics of the United States,” he said.

Both, Hassan and JI Karachi chapter’s chief Mohammad Hussain Mehanti, urged the JI officials to leave no stone unturned in making the anti-US campaign a success. They directed the JI workers to collect donations for the affected people of Swat as well as inform people about the ‘Go America Go’ campaign.
